- JJohnSan Francisco Bay Area •8 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThe food is fantastic. The chef is amazing and it shows in all the dishes he and his staff create. We have eaten here quite a bit and the food never disappoints. Great wines too. The only problem this most recent visit was the service. Our server was lagging behind all evening. They were busy being valentines weekend, however he didn’t clear away app plates until the main course came out. Never checked in our refilled wine or water. He was probably having a bad night and I hope next time I am in the service will have improved. Other than that…. You won’t be disappointed.More infoCanneti Roadhouse ItalianaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Forestville•4.6

I don't know where to begin on the food... - The pickled veggies were the right balance of acidic, herbaceous, slightly sweet, and crunchy - The Baby Gem lettuce, strawberry salad was beautiful, refreshing, an excellent amuse bouche. - The Roasted Carrots with honey mustard puree were tender, savory, slightly glazed, and an excellent counter to the baby gem salad. - The Hangar steak was lights-out--charred, beefy, and a fatty/richness, cut perfectly with bleu cheese and the red wine glaze. The Potato pave was something I will absolutely be trying to make at an upcoming steak dinner I'm hosting (think Potato gratin cooked slowly in butter, seasoned, cooled+ pressed in a pan, and then cut into squares and deep-fried for a super sexy crispy exterior with fluffy/creamy/buttery/salty potato interior) - The star of the show was ABSOLUTELY the Dungeness crab ravioli Rose... If that stays on the menu, it is a MUST ORDER. Since I was lucky enough to have my wife order that, I got to do the cheat code/perfect bite of the evening--a little hangar steak, ravioli, some of the crispy exterior of the potato pave, and a little red wine glaze. Absolutely divine--surf & turf of legend. We will now be making whatever excuse we can to get back to Goldfinch.More infoGoldfinchPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Sebastopol•4.7

- TTajLos Angeles •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoAn elegant and tasteful venue with farm to table dishes. My husband and I came into town for a night and were treated like family regardless of us being the last seated reservation for the night. The drinks were excellent paired with the cuisine with views, although seen in the night, were truly to admire. We’ll definitely be back again, as it was the perfect date to celebrate.More infoJohn Ash & Co.Price: Very Expensive• Californian• Santa Rosa•4.2

We can highly recommend the mushroom soup, beef bourginon, frog legs, duck confit and the muscles with fries among the menu choices. Crepes Suzette was an excellent finishing touch.More infoAugie's FrenchPrice: Moderate• French• Santa Rosa•4.7
