This was our second visit and the food, service and overall experience was as good as our first visit. - CCatherineLondon •2 reviews5.0Dined on 15 Nov 2024This is a traditional pub serving the community but also giving visitors a warm welcome. We’ve eaten here a number of times over the years when visiting the are but this was our first visit under the new ownership. Happily the standards have remained high and we had a delicious meal in a relaxed cosy setting and were well looked after by the staff. Our dog was really welcomed with dog treats and a bowl of water.More infoThe Pack Horse InnPrice: Expensive• Gastro Pub• Doxford•4.6
- JJaneNewcastle and Northumberland •6 reviews5.0Dined on 11 Nov 2024Everything from arriving for pre dinner drinks to the meal was absolutely superb. Bar area and restaurant are well furnished and immaculate. Staff are friendly without being overbearing. Simple, uncluttered tables, with a modern feel. The food was beautiful. We both had different starters, mains and desserts, and we couldn’t fault any of it. We did find it quite expensive, but the quality of the food was among the best we’ve had anywhere. It would be nice to see perhaps a set/fixed price menu for hotel guests, particularly mid week.More infoThe Tempus, Charlton Hall EstatePrice: Expensive• Contemporary British• Alnwick•4.7
