Best Lunch Restaurants in Oxford

We started with a split Caesar salad, which was great. My wife had the Branzino with escarole and I had the Linguine with littleneck clams and a side order of broccolini. My wife loved Limoncello's preparation of her Branzino and I enjoyed my Linguine entree, with one exception. The sauce that the Linguine was cooked in was so watery that it was nearly impossible to avoid getting it on my shirt. I would suggest an oil and garlic sauce or a reduction of the current sauce. Otherwise, we both enjoyed our dinners. The service was excellent. We were glad that we made a reservation through Open Table, as the restaurant was crowded for a Sunday night.

Third time at the fool’s lantern and have enjoyed the experience each time!

Its a noisy place but our table was in the window so okay. Live music was lovely and not imposing. Bar service was very slow. The BLTA was tasty, the chicken and waffles was delish and the rockfish was good. Generous portions.
