- GGeraldinevipYorkshire •5 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoGorgeous meal. Shared a starter of duck liver pate which was super smooth and delicious. My partner had the roast beef dinner and I had the pork chop with black pudding mash. Both were absolutely beautiful. A fantastic Spanish red that I’d never tried before, which was also fab. Great service as always & beautiful cosy surroundings.More infoShibden Mill InnPrice: Expensive• Gastro Pub• Halifax•4.7

- GGailYorkshire •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoOur first time at The Hawthorn. Was a lovely restaurant. Greeted by very helpful polite staff. Very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Efficient and professional. Pleasant and polite. I had the flat iron Steak with peppercorn sauce and crispy skin on fries. Absolutely delicious. Couldn’t find fault. Service was very prompt. The fries were the best I’ve ever tasted. My husband had the Burger with fries and he really enjoyed it too. Plenty of choices from the wine and beverage section. Prosecco was very nice as was the Ilkley beer. We didn’t have room for desert. Again nice choices from a traditional menu. Very nice indeed and we will definitely be returning.More infoThe HawthornPrice: Very Expensive• Gastro Pub• Keighley•4.8
- RRooneyLondon •2 reviews4.0Dined on 7 Nov 2024Not as good as previous visits, but has apparently been recently taken over. Very disorganised, no drinks menus available, no knowledge of what was available. Drink spilled when delivering, but no offer to clean it up. Service very slow. The food however was good. Tonic water appeared in a glass, rather than in a bottle with a glass, which I found strange. The gentleman who I presume was the cook was somewhat dishevelled, with dirty clothes - a bit off-putting. Would I return? Possibly, but I think I’ll give them time to ‘settle in’. This place used to be superb, so I’m hoping it will return to that level.More infoThe ShrubPrice: Moderate• British• Brighouse•4.7
