- SshannonWashington, D.C. Area •9 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoIt was a beautiful amber ambiance as we entered Mallard. Beautifully done decor, warm reception, terrific service. And what a great menu - not lengthy but just right and every dish we ordered was great. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. What a neighborhood gem - we will return and enthusiastically recommend it.More infoMallardPrice: Expensive• Regional American (Contemporary Southern)• Logan Circle•4.8

For most of the meal, we had that space all to ourselves and we were able to enjoy the food, the drinks, and the conversation. That made a perfect evening!More infoBarrel & CrowPrice: Moderate• American• Bethesda•4.5

- DDavidWashington, D.C. Area •9 reviews4.0Dined on 11 Dec 2024Opaline is a great choice if you want a lively after-work spot to meet. Tile floor and otherwise hard surfaces make the noise level pretty high. Bit of an own goal on my part for making a reservation to meet my sister and her husband for dinner here, as the restaurant wasn't really suited to a quiet evening of conversation. (It says "Bar" right there in the name, so I guess Reading is Fundamental.) We actually considered going somewhere else but glad we stayed because the food and service were both quite good. A fresh take on Caesar salad, a delicious just-right pappardelle perfect for a cold evening and a lovely dark chocolate cake for dessert.More infoOpaline Bar and BrasseriePrice: Moderate• French• Downtown•4.3
- BBarbaraWashington, D.C. Area •8 reviews5.0Dined on 5 Dec 2024I love the selection of dishes at True Food. I like to eat vegetarian, which isn’t so easy at most restaurants. It is at True Food. I got the Ancient Grains bowl and added tofu. There were other protein options available. My friend and I shared the charred cauliflower appetizer. Everything was delicious. Service was outstanding. It is a bit noisy—high ceilings and noisy fans going, but our overall experience was very positive.More infoTrue Food Kitchen - BethesdaPrice: Moderate• American• Bethesda•4.5
