- PPetervipSan Francisco Bay Area •20 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe hadn’t visited the Black Olive in several years, mostly because we were avoiding downtown Bmore because of the squeegee issues around the city. We’re happy that this appears to be a thing of the past. We enjoyed a wonderful meal last night. We arrived and were seated in the back room. There are 4 or 5 tables in this room. We ordered raw oysters, stuffed calamari, and octopus salad for appetizers. We had a grilled whole snapper and while black sea bass for entrees. We had a bottle of Assyrtiko wine from Santorini. For dessert, we shared baklava ice cream. Everything was well prepared and delicious. The stuffed calamari was a standout. We look forward to returning again soon.More infoBlack OlivePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Fells Point•4.7
- SScottvipConnecticut •17 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe were staying at an airport hotel overnight and needed a good dinner. What we found was this spectacular jewel of a restaurant! Our party of 4 tried the crab cakes (DELICIOUS) the mushroom soup (hearty and hit the spot on this chilly evening) the Rock Fish special (YUM) the demonico steak (tender and perfectly prepared) the Elk Osso Bucco with paparadelli (unusual and tasty!) and the lamb shank (fall off the bone tender and perfectly seasoned). The chef visited our table to check on us (smiles all around) the waitstaff was attentive without being annoying. The classical music in the background was quiet and soothing and set the atmosphere for a perfect dinner out. We felt as if we were dining in the home of an experienced host. Incredibly rare to find this kind of intimacy and hospitality these days!More infoThe Elkridge Furnace InnPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Elkridge•4.9
- JJessBaltimore / Maryland •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoI recently had the pleasure of dining at Ampersea, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment we walked in, Joey, the manager/greeter, greeted us with such warmth and enthusiasm that we felt right at home. His kindness set the tone for the entire evening. The service throughout the meal was impeccable—our waiters were attentive without being overbearing, ensuring our drinks were always topped off and checking in just the right amount. A special shout-out goes to Oscar, the bartender, who was absolutely phenomenal. He crafted some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while, with perfect balance and creativity. Overall, Ampersea delivered on both food and service, and the personal touches from Joey and the rest of the team made it a memorable night. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, fantastic drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere!More infoAmpersea RestaurantPrice: Expensive• American• Harbor Point•4.5

The beer selection was on point for a German restaurant, and the food was delicious. My family had a really good time.More infoRathskellerPrice: Moderate• Contemporary German• Elkridge•4.7
