    Great experience here celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday! Osetra Caviar & steak tartar was a wonderful way to start our meal. She loved her Scallops with Koji Risotto & my Aged Ribeye was cooked to perfection. Service was phenomenal, our server was prompt, attentive & knowledgeable, allowing my girlfriend tastings of several wines to ensure her satisfaction, truly making my her birthday special.     Exceptional service. Beautiful historic bldg. lovely fireplace by our table. Food was delicious. They accommodated my dietary restrictions beautifully: no gluten, dairy or shellfish. I had the special salmon and it was great.

    We went there for my friend’s birthday and in reading the menu it didn’t sound very exciting but we ordered several things and everything was delicious. I would highly recommend this place. There is also a really cute outdoor area that would be great for a private party or a work function. I will definitely go there again.

    Dining at Cafe Monarch is similar to enjoying a wonderful performance. It reminds me of restaurants in Europe, where the waitstaff take their career seriously and see you, as the dining guest, as special, not just a number to be herded through as quickly as possible. During our 3 hour dining experience, we enjoyed the 8 course menu, which was excellent. My companion had the vegetarian, while I had the standard menu. Both were excellent with us truly enjoying 7/8 dishes. The waitstaff are extremely attentive but not disruptive and make the whole experience enjoyable. While it is very expensive for 8 small courses, we both left satisfied. Given that it was a 3 hour experience, I would consider it more than just "dinner" and just that, an experience. I will return again
