Water Wheel Tavern is an historic Bucks County landmark originally built in 1714 by John Dyer, an English Quaker. It existed for centuries as a water wheel driven grist mill, and later hosted both a post office and a general store.     Boyfriend and I went and split three dishes, which came recommended from a server. Onion soup, warm shrimp salad, and the steak frites. Everything was fantastic. We ordered our steak medium, and it came out very medium rare. Our server returned it, the manager came out and apologized. They returned with a corrected steak and more frites. Definitely recommend eating the frites with the steak in one bite. Good one their own but together- chef’s kiss! All of the food was incredible, and felt like we were back in Paris for an hour. Only critique would be for the bread to come warm to the table, or the butter to be softened so it could easily spread on the bread.

    Boyfriend and I got the lamb brisket as a starter, and then the salmon for main course and Thai cucumber salad as a side. We split them all. I would probably not order the lamb again, but everything else was fantastic. Our server Francis was super kind. Great dinner and highly recommend!

    Wonderful late lunch before exploring the beauty of the area. Delicious burgers but mine was way over medium. Everyone said theirs were perfect. Fries somewhat dry and not very warm, but my wife’s sweet potato fries were delicious. Very enjoyable.

    The food is always excellent, with innovative twists. The service was great, the staff is always pleasant, and you're never rushed. Brunch today, but lunch, dinner, or just drinks, a trip to The Water Wheel is NEVER a disappointment!
