Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Mount Eden

Absolutely love this place! The service is amazing and the food is delicious. Will definitely be back.

We had a lovely white and red wine recommended by our waiter, plus pasta, artichoke salad and chicken - all delicious. The restaurant is small but has very nice enclosed outdoor seating. If you come earlier in the day, ask for the homemade pastries - they sell out by mid-afternoon.

We have dined here many times and the food is usually excellent. This time was not the case. I had to return my burger as it was definitely overcooked. My friend ordered the cob salad and the chicken was also overcooked and the salad overdressed. Since this is an unusual occurrence, I would return with the thought this was a one off. The service was excellent as usual and when my burger was replaced it was excellent.

We plan our trip to NYC around eating at Carmine’s. This time we ate at the upper West Side location. We usually eat at the Times Square location. But this year it was booked solid for Christmas a month in advance. We were wowed again with an awesome meal at Carmines at 91st Street. We had the garlic bread with cheese. We always ask to add the cheese. So wonderful. We also split the lasagna. It is the best we have ever tasted. We brought over half of it home. I would recommend either Carmine’s to anyone wanting authentic Italian food at its best.

Excellent food - everything from mezzes to main meals and desserts was fabulous, fresh, full of taste and left us wanting more. Excellent service - our waiter was very knowledgeable about the entire menu and helpful and our water glasses were always full. We were seated in the upper back room, near the wine wall - so it wasn't too noisy but it was very warm, much warmer than the main dining room which was comfortable. We look forward to returning!
