Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Newark

Delicious lunch of Nicoise Salad, chicken liver parfait , mushroom soup, and profiteroles. Lunch delicious as usual. Service very good. Bar seats full at 2pm, reservations recommended. Take out order of cheeseburger was missing the caramelized onions. Tomato and lettuce are not automatically included on burger and must be requested if desired.

The setting is rustic greenhouse affect. The service was very good and timely. All items of food were explained so everything was transparent. The mushroom soup was not what I expected but all other items were nicely prepared with lovely presentation

Post errands dinner with my wife since we were nearby and she felt like Italian food. Started with Caesar salads, and they were both fresh, crisp and tasty. For dinner my wife had Spaghetti Pomodoro and I had the Shrimp Risotto side dish scaled up to a dinner portion. Both pastas were perfectly cooked and the seasonings and flavors were outstanding! Clean plates all around. One thing we noticed is they changed their menu and added some new dishes, but also removed some. Specifically they removed the chopped salad, which was always delicious. Not sure why, especially since chopped salads are extremely popular now. Erin was our server and she did a great job! Always a great meal at this Brio! Can’t wait for our next visit!

We are regulars at Caffe Gelatto because the food, service, and drinks are great. It was this time as well except for two changes in the menu. The gnocchi has been removed from the menu and the menu for salmon has been changed in the way it is cooked and added salsa topping. The salmon was not enjoyed at all. Change it back please.

My friends and I had a lovely afternoon lunch! Our soups and sandwiches were delicious. Our server was especially attentive and helpful. I’m glad I chose this restaurant to have lunch after our fall foliage train ride this afternoon.
