- PPhoebeGreater Boston •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoI visited on Valentine’s Day and loved the cozy ambiance with beautiful plant decorations. I ordered the 3 Valentine’s specials: the beet gnocchi, beet burrata, and cod dish, along with the cooked oysters. All were delicious though I was a bit disappointed with the beet burrata, as it had a very tiny amount of cubed beets and at first believed they forgot the beets on the dish. For dessert I had the tiramisu which was fantastic!More infoTerra - Eataly BostonPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Italian• Back Bay•4.3
- MMaryAnnVIPGreater Boston •16 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe made reservations on line for Valentine’s Day less than a week before the 14th. I was very happy to get a reso at such late notice but noticed that it said we’d be dining outside. When I called they told me that it meant we could be sitting in the Venda deli where they would be setting up tables and serving the same food if there were no tables inside when I get there. When we arrived, the restaurant was packed. The hostess who was fantastic told us that we would have to wait about 20 mins. By the time I went to the bar and got drinks for us she came and got us to be seated in the main restaurant upstairs. I honestly don’t know how they were able to accommodate so many people, so efficiently. It obviously was not like a normal day but they did a great job working hard to please their customers. We were very impressed at how fast we got served and how pleasant the staff was in the midst of the very busy evening. - CClaudineVIPGreater Boston •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe went for Valentine’s Day with another couple. We were all thrilled with the Brie special appetizer with the pears!! Please add this to the regular menu as it was outstanding. 2 of us had the lobster ravioli special and were blown away with how delicious it was. We both commented that they were far and away the best lobster raviolis we had ever had. The sauce was especially delicious and so different. My husband tried the steak special and loved that as well. The accompaniment vegetable which was a layered ‘something’ which he could not identify was apparently delicious. The last of us had the sole Milanese and this was also loved. As usual the staff was excellent as were the views of the water. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience!More infoThe Mooring RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Newport•4.7
- MMichelleSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoVisited on a Monday night and it was a terrific evening! The entire staff was great from the wait staff to the servers to the complimentary valet which is a bonus on Federal Hill. We opted for Massimo's Monday Night Wine + Dine set price menu because they included terrific gluten free Italian options - to include GF bread. We shared the Baby Spinach, Caramelized Onion, Gorgonzola, Candied Walnuts, Pancetta, Balsamic Vinaigrette Salad, Calamari Fritti, Shrimp Scampi and Gnocchi margherita - all cooked beautifully. We parted ways on dessert so there was Tiramisu, Cannoli, and we even added a Cheesecake with Cherries. Needless to say, we are not afraid of a great meal! We will be back! - MMichaelGreater Boston •6 reviews5.0Dined on 25 Dec 2024Christmas Eve dinner. Festive, lively atmosphere without being too loud for easy conversation. Service was excellent, beginning with the accommodation of a late addition guest. Staff was there for every need and question yet never made us feel rushed—even though our meal went past closing. I expected great food and was not disappointed. Oysters were particularly good and French-pressed coffee always adds a great finishing touch. My teenagers had a great time and have a new appreciation for real food. Highly recommend.More infoHemenway'sPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Providence•4.9
