Atria's History The original Atria's in Mt. Lebanon was owned by Italian immigrant Joe Atria and dates to 1930. It began as a grocery store, then expanded into a barbershop and dry cleaners. In 1933 prohibition ended and Atria's began to sell beer. Along came food to feed the hungry - both highbrow attorneys and blue-collar working men alike. In 1998, Pittsburgh natives Pat and Nancy McDonnell transformed Joe Atria's historical Mt. The view from the restaurant is stunning. As it is only steps away from the Incline, was a perfect place to have lunch. The French Onion Soup was hot and yummy - interesting marbled rye croutons in it. The Ahi Tuna Salad was the perfect size and the 'correct' amount of dressing. The Greek Salad was fresh and filling. The steak tacos (on the dinner menu but available for lunch) were devoured! I would recommend enjoying this venue!
