Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Virginia Union University

Jess was a wonderful server and our food was perfect! The whole experience was one of the best we’ve had in Richmond. I’d go back tomorrow if I could.

Excellent menu and service. Started with the East and West Coast sushi rolls. Entrees were the filet, the blackened Mahi Mahi and the Kale Caesar salad with Salmon. Everything was delicious!

Christmas Eve and the place was packed but running efficiently. The owner was visibly on-site, taking pictures of patrons in front of their beautiful Christmas tree, a very nice touch. My only complaint was that it was a prix fixe menu, which I did not know about when I made the reservation. I also saw nothing on their website to indicate such. The food was excellent and well priced at $95 pp, so we stayed, but would have liked to have known that the full menu was not available before we went.

It had become a family tradition for my daughter, husband and me to visit Amuse on Christmas Eve. It had also been a few years since we’d been able to time it right! This year we made a plan and I am so glad we did. The food and service were both outstanding! Alex took care of us from start - with our sparkling holiday cocktails - through lunch with scallops, oysters, a strip steak, and the best beets, brussel sprouts, and parsnips - until dessert, an upside down pear and pomegranate cake. We won’t wait as long before we go back again!
