- MMariannaLos Angeles •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoMy girlfriend and I came here on Valentine’s day weekend. We came a little before our reservation and they sat us down right away. We sat outside which wasn’t bad at all since they had the outdoor heaters. Our waitress was so lovely. I wish I remembered her name, she checked in on us frequently but not TOO frequently lol. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re in the mood for some good pasta and good service!More infoAsti RistorantePrice: Moderate• Italian• Downtown / Gaslamp•4.6
- KKathySan Diego •6 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoMy husband and I were delighted with Prado’s Valentine special evening. The scallops with spinach and ricotta ravioli in Romeo sauce were outstanding. Service was great, especially considering that it was busy. We were served an incredible chocolate dessert and a sparkling wine toast. The entire evening was charming.More infoThe Prado at Balboa ParkPrice: Moderate• Californian• Downtown / Gaslamp•4.6
- LLindaSan Diego •35 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe went there before going to the Balboa theater for a performance and appreciated the promptness of their service. The soup (oyster and also onion) were warm, delicious and so inviting on such a rainy night. My friend had the crab cake and I had the shrimp and mushroom appetizer and we both liked our choices. Great wine list also. Definitely plan on going back when we attend our next play. Staff were very warm, helpful and respectful of our time constraints.More infoDobson's Bar & RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Californian• Downtown / Gaslamp•4.4
- HHeatherTokyo Metropolitan Area •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoWe visited the Mingei and made a reservation at Artifact for an early lunch at 11:30 on a Thursday. We were one of the first two tables seated but the restaurant filled to near capacity shortly thereafter! We ordered the Vietnamese meatballs, the Asian pear and beet salad, the samosas and the coconut tapioca to share between the two of us per our server’s recommendation and everything was excellent! She was quite busy but attentive when we were able to catch her. Will absolutely return, I’d like to try everything on the menu. :)More infoARTIFACT at MingeiPrice: Expensive• International• Downtown / Gaslamp•4.8

From the moment we were seated, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. Samuel’s knowledge of the menu was impressive—he provided thoughtful recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. Our wine was perfectly paired and he ensured that each course arrived at just the right time. What stood out the most was his ability to balance professionalism with warmth, making us feel truly welcomed. It’s rare to find a server who combines efficiency, attentiveness, and a personal touch so seamlessly. Samuel exemplifies top-tier hospitality, and I highly recommend requesting him for an outstanding dining experience at Grant Grill!
