Best Restaurants for Anniversaries in Gastown

I rarely do reviews good or bad, unless something during my visit was exceptional. Whether it be the food or the service or both. We usually go to The Keg in Coquitlam but we moved and this Keg is closer to us. I haven’t been to this one in 30 years. All the staff were very nice and took a few minutes to chat. Our server Nadia was great. She was friendly and very attentive. My steak was a bit under cooked for my preference and she took care of it. Then she followed up to make sure I was satisfied. Taylor, the dining room manager brought me my dinner when it was ready and genuinely apologized. He went beyond our expectations to make sure I was satisfied with my meal and with our dining experience. We enjoyed our visit. From the friendly staff, our attentive server, Nadia, and Taylor going beyond the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our experience. The food was excellent too. Will definitely go back again!

2nd time here and order exact same set menu and was amazing - added brisket pho which was so delicious! Service is always outstanding and it's the main reason i go here

My experience at the keg was truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! My partner and I recently got engaged, and we decided to celebrate with a special dinner on Valentine’s Day and I’m so glad we chose this place. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The food and everything from the appetizers to the main course was incredible. And the service was quick. This was such a wonderful experience and I will definitely be returning to the keg on granville island for future special occasions.

A sublime meal with appropriate wine pairings (thank you again, Jill). I can not fault any aspect of the restaurant; it’s one of my favourites. My one minor complaint was that the scent worn by one of the servers was a little too generously applied and was wafting towards us as she moved around.

Loved it. Staff is SUPER friendly and always looking after your well-being. They separated our salad into separate dishes knowing that we were sharing (without our request) and had the tongs ready to go to share our pastas. The pasta portions were large and definitely worth it. Affogato to finish!
