- VVLos Angeles •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at this steakhouse and overall, it was a great experience. The oysters were fresh and delicious, especially the Kumiai variety – a perfect start to the meal. The calamari was tasty but a bit on the undercooked side, the Caesar salad was fresh and crisp, a nice addition to our appetizers. For sides, the au gratin potatoes were rich and flavorful, but the spinach was a bit too salty for our taste. However, the highlight of the evening was definitely the porcini-rubbed bone-in ribeye with 15-year-aged balsamic. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor – highly recommend this dish! Overall, the food was great, with just a couple of minor hiccups. It’s definitely a place I’d return to, especially for that amazing ribeye!More infoThe Capital Grille - Costa MesaPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Costa Mesa•4.8

We had a window view with no obstruction and got to see the Disney fireworks towards the end. The food was amazing and our server was great as well. We didn’t feel rushed at all and our server was very knowledgeable about the food and wine. This was our second time at Orange Hill and they never disappoint and highly recommend. Our reservation was at 7pm and got to the valet 5 minutes before and was able to check in and get seated quickly.More infoOrange Hill RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Orange•4.6
- AAlmaOrange County •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWhat a great Valentine’s Day theme! We double dated and it was our first time going there so we had a lot of fun. The music was great, loud but not too loud where we couldn’t have a conversation. They filled up the place with many red floating balloons and looked so festive. The special Valentine’s menu was top notch with great selections no matter what diet you’re on. Service was always attentive even as crowded as they were. Great memories were made and we can’t wait to go back!More infoHabana - Costa MesaPrice: Expensive• Cuban• Costa Mesa•4.7

- RrobertOrange County •57 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoIt was a rainy night. We were met at the door by several members of staff, who handled everyone's coats and hats efficiently. This staff is excellent on every visit, and tonight was no exception. Do you avoid dining out on Valentine's day or near the 14th? Are the restuarants generally overburdened? Forget about that and dine at the Hobbit. Their routine for Valentine's day, while offering a slightly different menu, remains the same. They are not overwhelmed, because they only handle as many people as will attend one seating. The experience is preceded by a cocktail hour - then to table at 7 p.m. An amuse bouche of "three perfect bites", which are accompanied by a complimentary glass of champagne. The opening this time was a Hamachi crudo, that was plated perfectly, and delivered a wonderful amalgam of green apple, cucumber, tangerine and a tarragon oil opening. The second course, a crepe a la duck confit, worried my partner who does not favor duck. She loved the crepe and the duck confit! Very smooth and subtle. My filet with a bone marrow bordelaise was perfect, rare, as I love good beef. We accompanied our meal with an excellent 2005 Bordeau from Pauillac purchased from the well stocked wine cellar. The service was impeccable, and the entire serving staff assisted at one time or another to insure prompt service without hovering. I have been here many times, and you cannot go wrong dining at the Hobbit on any occasion.More infoThe HobbitPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French• Orange•4.7
