An understated storefront hides a coveted skyline view—just one of the many ways you could underestimate this longtime cafe on Mount Baker’s main drag. The menu, the sign—even the name—are a bit of a throwback, but current owners Guy Devillier and David Hoefer took over in 2018 and keep things attuned to today. Carbonara packs more nuance than you might expect, the slightly crackly pizza’s better than it has to be, and the bar pours lambrusco and negroni.     What A Place! As a kid from Kirkland, that went to Kirkland junior high in the 80’s. I’ve seen a lot of businesses and restaurants in the area! This is by far one of the Greatest Ever! Food!🌟 Service 🌟 Atmosphere 🌟 There are So Many reasons to love this restaurant, I can’t wait to go back! Our waiter Max was Awesome, and the ownership and staff, make you feel like family! This is a MUST VISIT!

    I went to La Fontana Sicilana for the first time in over 30 years! The ambiance was how I remembered it. Super sweet and quaint. The staff were amazing. Ray our server was tentative, kind, knowledgeable. He made it a memorable experience for my sisters and especially me! We were a party of six so we were able to try many options on the menu which all did not disappoint. If I had to say one thing I would change, it would be to not overcook the gnocchi! A smidge mushy, but still amazing in flavor. Thank you for bringing my memory and youth back! Love that you haven't changed a thing. Why change a Michelangelo:)

    We reserved an early time for dinner. The host asked if we were there for a special occasion which we were not but nice to know for the future. There were just a few diners so the noise level was low which we like for conversation. Our server was fantastic. He made us feel like we were his only table, and he had a great smile! All five at the table enjoyed their meal and the desserts were yummy.
