Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Downtown St. Paul

Kim is the best!! We absolutely look forward to celebrating our November birthdays and Anniversary with her! The food and drinks were once again delicious.

Thank you Butcher’s Tale for making my birthday so special! First off, our server Meesh (sp) was an absolute gem. She was friendly, knowledgeable and her attitude was confident yet casual. As a queer couple, sometimes we get treated weirdly but Meesh was absolutely excellent and welcoming. The server assistants were also top notch and very attentive. The food was immaculate! The pork chop was roughly the size of a king mattress and I have no idea how the kitchen managed to cook such a mighty chop to absolute perfection. My steak was one of the best I’ve ever had and the key lime pie almost made me cry tears of joy, and yet I despair I will never again find its equal. We will we back! Also I don’t drink anymore but the whiskey list was very impressive! Thank you everyone!

Went there with the family, and had a wonderful time. The service was wonderful and the food tasted fantastic. 

Benihana is pretty much the same as always. The restaurant is a little run down. Kinda sad. We’ve been going off and on for years. It’s been a while, 6 years I think. Food is the same. Some of it really good like the scallops. I wasn’t as crazy about the fried rice this time. Not sure what’s changed. The other 3 in our party liked it. Our chef/server was great. The other party at our table had two first-timers, ages 7 & 9 (guessing). They loved it. We took lots of food home. Basically Benihana lived up to our age old expectations.

Had one of my favorite servers, Ken A., again. It is always an extra treat when I am lucky enough to be seated in his area before a theatre show. Excellent suggestions and service each and every time! He’s super fun, too!! Thank you!!
