The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. Perfect setting for Christmas Eve dinner. The prime rib, meatloaf wellington and the scallops were fabulous. You hit it out of the park on all counts from being greeted at the door and having a fabulous server. Kudos well done. We will be back.

Our server, Angel, and his peers are indeed Angels on earth. The attention to detail was incredible and impeccable. While service was slow, we also understood that it is Christmas Eve and they’re doing their best to make everyone feel as special as we did. The ENTIRE front of the house staff and the kitchen team deserve immediate 10% raises. That’s how fantastic they are.

All I did was add the “birthday” option to our reservation on Open Table and Oceanaire did not disappoint. From the moment we checked in at the host station, throughout the meal (the menus had “Happy Birthday” printed on them) to the Baked Alaska dessert, we were wished the happiest of birthdays and thoughtfully cared for by the staff.
