In the heart of Houston’s Montrose neighborhood, MARCH Restaurant is an intimate Mediterranean restaurant from Chef Felipe Riccio. Serving both 6 and 9 course tasting menus, we study the gastronomy, history, and cultures of the region to answer the question:“What is Mediterranean cuisine?”After many years of personal and professional exploration of the Mediterranean – including extended stints at three-Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana and Azurmendi –Felipe has brought this spirit of exploration back to his home in Houston. The word ‘MARCH’ signifies an area of land on the border between two territories; a frontier between realms. The menu is the team’s love letter to the Mediterranean where we will explore the unique, layered evolution of its many connected cuisines, with beverage pairings/selections artfully curated by partner and Master Sommelier, June Rodil, and the acclaimed beverage team.

Brunch on Saturday and Sunday is primarily first come, first served. If you do not see the time you want available online, please call us directly. When owner Johnny Carrabba set out on his next restaurant venture, he knew his vision would include the fond memories he had of his dear grandmother Grace Mandola. Grace, also known to the family as Mama, was a Sicilian woman born to immigrant parents in Louisiana. She had a flair for cooking, hospitality, and deep faith. She was known to make bread from scratch every Saturday for her legendary three-hour Sicilian Sunday lunches; and, her newly established family roots in Louisiana added interesting flavors to her home cooked meals. The entire Mandola family, including her five children and fourteen grandchildren, was regularly greeted in her home with smells of warm bread, well brewed sauces and homemade soups. It was around her table that her family learned the true meaning and value of relationships, friendships and good food.

We visit many restaurants around the country and Annabelle has suddenly made it to my hometown favorites list. We tried the deviled eggs, raclette au jambon, Parisienne steak frites, duck confit cassoulet, macaroni gratin, and potato aligoté, finished with crème brûlée and espresso. All of which met our standards and we will be returning. Happy and full the spot brings warmth, feeling like I’m in my grandmothers living room (in a good - homey way). Drinks also were good but don’t remember what was ordered. If you are coming here, order a lot very freely; the pricing is very reasonable anyway.

Dinner with the family , the food was good , different flavors , a little rushed service -but overall a good experience . Upon setting the bill I was charged a service tip of 40% , which I will dispute with Amex. I did not authorize such a charge. Costumer be aware, check the final tip charge. That practice is illegal, fraudulent and in poor business image !

Dining at March is an unforgettable journey through the art of gastronomy. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a refined ambiance that balances elegance with warmth, setting the tone for the evening. The service is impeccable—attentive without being overbearing, and the staff’s deep knowledge of the tasting menu is evident. The tasting menu is a revelation, each dish a meticulously crafted masterpiece. The flavors are bold yet harmonious, showcasing both technique and creativity. The genius lies in how the story unfolds, starting with a specific region and its historical cuisine, then elevating those ingredients to new heights. Each course arrives like a work of art, beautifully plated and bursting with intricate flavors that evolve with every bite. The wine pairing is just as carefully curated, with each selection enhancing the dishes in a way that elevates the entire experience. Every detail, from the presentation to the final note of dessert, is handled with precision and care. I love this place and look forward to coming back next season.

Ton and Trey were excellent servers and were very warm and welcoming. They took excellent care of us and even had their manager, Todd, help us with an extra question we had. We really appreciated Todd taking the time to talk to us! Probably one of the best times we have been to Graces!
