Took my grandson and his girlfriend for dinner tonight, as since my husband passed 2 months ago, we try to share a meal weekly. My husband and I enjoy all the McMenamins. However, we are older and it seems to be a little dark. It would be nice to have some light on each table so we could actually read the menus. We are also passport holders and have noticed it’s dark in most of the bars and restaurants.

Food was all good and service attentive. Only note is the filet was a baseball cut and not listed as such. Therefore my usual specification of medium rare resulted in red cool center. I either avoid baseball cuts or up my order to medium.

We were a party of 9. Hostess placed us in a back room that we had all to ourselves. Our waitress was very attentive and explained how things work in this unique way of dining. Food choice is excellent, and sauces are very good.
