Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Fort Worth

Food and service were terrific. Our waiter, Major, was very friendly, attentive, made sure everything was good. Love this restaurant!

This was the perfect place to celebrate Mom's 89th birthday. Having never visited, we were excited but nervous at the same time. Mom has refined tastes having grown up in the kitchen. At the same time, given her recent medical challenges, we weren't exactly sure if the appetite would be there or not. But we went based on the recommendation of a collegue hoping for the best. Well, I'm happy to report, she's STILL talking about how great her birthday meal was TWO DAYS LATER! Highly recommended!

Had an interesting experience on New Year’s Eve to say the least, but they went above and beyond to make it right and I will say some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, especially brunch. The staff is 5 star, I would highly recommend!!!!  

Delicious! Couldn’t help to start my first comment as that. My wife had the salmon and I had the filet, both dishes cooked to perfection. Perfectly made so tender and juicy with flavorful sides. Our server Brittany was so amazing- couldn’t have left that place happier. Thank you for the great experience and made our night so special!

Although I was hoping for brunch, and Cafe Modern only serves brunch on Sundays, I found the omelette with arugula salad to be a fine brunch item. The omelette was delicious and the dressing on the salad very good. They served a basket of focaccia bread which was exceptional! I also really like the mimosa drinks menu. I especially like the French Mimosa and find it affordable at $12. This trip to the Modern was to celebrate a friend's birthday, and she really enjoyed it. It felt special, she said. Another thing I like about Cafe Modern is the staff. I've been going to this cafe since it opened and the staff have been unfailingly pleasant and efficient. If you want to go somewhere without music playing in the background and no TVs, this is a good place.
