Kachka features an award-winning menu of post-soviet inspired dishes including famous dishes such as the Herring under a fur coat, Rabbit in a clay pot, dumplings and much more. The restaurant is an homage to the dishes our chef/owner grew up eating. Kachka is open for indoor onsite dining. Walk-in lounge and bar seating are also available. Our Lavka grocery is open from 11am-9pm daily with counter service ordering from our Lavka cafe and deli available from 11-3. Seating is first come first serve on our upper patio or indoor lounge tables. We have proudly replaced tipping with a 22% service fee in order to provide a base wage of $25 per hour and free healthcare for all employees.     We had a lovely Georgian Supra this evening. The food was amazing; each dish had its own distinctive flavor and richness. There was so much food. My party enjoyed the wine pairings and the ability to try so many Georgian wines. I really enjoyed the communal table! It’s not often that one can share conversation with strangers while dining. I think we should all do that more often. Thank you Katcha for sharing your knowledge, your passion for fine food and your concern for the people of Georgia.

    Nostrana is an (almost) hidden Portland treasure! The space and ambiance is warm yet epic, the entire staff seems to be operating on another level from other fine dining restaurants in Portland; they're engaged, friendly, warm, and yet professional and perfectionistic in the best possible ways. The food, all of it, was super-fresh and really special. Might have something to do with them having their own chef's garden right across the street. I can't recommend this place highly enough.
