Best Restaurants for Foodies in Dana Point / Monarch Beach

We were so excited to visit Splashes since the remodel and we were pleasantly impressed! We started with a cocktail in the new lobby lounge that overlooks the ocean. What an outstanding use of this location that use to be hotel suites. Next it was on to Splashes where we were met by Julian (from Paris) who found us a marvelous table overlooking the picturesque sunset. Julian is a great ambassador for the hotel and Splashes. Our Waiter was Patrick from Buenos Aires, Patrick and his server Jose have been with the hotel for years and were very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. We started with the lobster bisque, this is a must have when visiting Splashes, it was outstanding! Our dinner was beautifully presented and delicious. I had the sea bass special for the evening, it was tender and buttery and it melted in my mouth. My wife had the halibut which was also outstanding. We ended the evening with a shared Baked Alaska, it was the perfect sweet treat to complete this great evening. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our experience at Surf and Sands Splashes. We will be back very soon!

We love this place! It is always consistent, the food is amazing, and the drinks are top-notch! Ambiance is nice too. Our server, Leslie, was very personable and fun. We only wish there was a location closer to us in San Clemente, but it won't stop us from coming back.

The gang at craft house always do a fantastic job and we look forward to each visit because of it. Staff is always super friendly knowledgeable and happy to help guide you through whatever today's surprise selection might be. We really like the fact that today's menu might not be the same tomorrow and that there's always a new surprise around every corner

Our experience at this Javier's was overall fantastic. The food and service were what you always hope a restaurant of this caliber would be. We would recommend that if you are dining at a busy time of day to arrive early as this is an extremely busy restaurant and center, and the parking lots can completely fill up and the valet can get backed up. Other than that, our experience was top notch!

I made reservations. I chose this restaurant because none of my guests had eaten here before and to celebrate a friend's 91st birthday. for a friend. When I made the reservations I requested a table overlooking the nursery. There was no wait when we arrived. They accommodated us with a table I requested. The overall service was excellent. The waitress, Becca was pleasant, knowledgeable about the menu, and very attentive. She came back several times during our lunch to make sure everything was okay and to see if we needed anything. Everyone raved about the food. Three or us ordered the tuna sandwich and one ordered the burger. It was all excellent. Remembering we were there to celebrate a birthday, Becca brought out a complimentary dessert with a candle. The whole experience for me and my guests couldn't have been better. We will definitely be returning and bringing more friends.
