- RrichardVIPBaltimore / Maryland •39 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoTruly a diamond dining experience! When I walked into the restaurant I felt like I entered a French or Swiss chalet where I was then greeted by a distinguished French speaking host. Crisp white linen table clothes adorned each table and a lovely gaslight fireplace in the center made for a perfect ambiance. All the servers were older distinguished looking gentlemen buzzing through the restaurant focused on one thing- guest hospitality! Loved it. I cannot say enough about our server from San Salvador Emilio who coursed out our dinner so perfectly, beginning with baked oysters and ending with chocolate souffle. Definitely Old World dining done to perfection! Enjoyed chatting with the guests from each side of our table! Cannot wait to return in the future! - SSarahJacksonville / Northeast Florida •2 reviews5.0Dined on 29 Dec 2024This was our 2nd visit. We are there 11 years ago on our honeymoon when visiting DC so we were really happy the quality, experience was just as great as we remembered it. The dining room is nice not too big, but lively. The staff are excellent, so friendly and happy to explain the menu. The food is great, full of flavor. We had the Sambosa appetizer which was perfect for sharing. I had the Lamb Tibs and my husband had the combo of chicken and beef. The staff are gracious to check your wishes and confirm you’re happy to have them plated together. It was a great experience overall.More infoDas Ethiopian - GeorgetownPrice: Expensive• Ethiopian• Georgetown•4.8
- RRobWashington, D.C. Area •4 reviews5.0Dined on 26 Dec 2024We went to Jont two years ago and it was spectacular then and I wasn’t sure how they could improve. However, this visit was off the charts and I’m not sure why they don’t have three Michelin stars yet. We have been to 30 Michelin stars worth of restaurants globally so we have a pretty good perspective. Chef Ryan was in the kitchen (which you essentially sit at a bar adjacent to) the whole time and he came over and spent some time with us which was very cool. The staff is funny, friendly and well informed. I got the special Waygu Zabuton in lieu of chicken and it was probably the best steaks I’ve ever had. Sometimes these type restaurants get a little too eclectic with one or two dishes, and that wasn’t the case here. Every dish wowed our family. In fact, my wife ate Uni for the first time (having passed on it before) and loved it. We feel fortunate to have this spot in DC and can’t wait to go back.More infoJôntPrice: Very Expensive• French / Japanese• U Street Corridor•4.9
