Set in Kansas City’s historic City Market, Brown and Loe Restaurant’s inviting atmosphere is a blend of “big city” bistro with the welcoming casual flavor of a neighborhood favorite. Housed in a former Merchant’s Bank constructed in 1920, the restaurant honors the architectural details of the two-story building which features a façade of plate glass and verde marble floors and walls. In the 1940’s, Brown and Loe was originally a produce broker with offices on the second floor of the Merchant’s Bank building. The new Brown and Loe Restaurant celebrates the techniques of curing, pickling and smoking meats, beautifully interpreted into marvelous American comfort cuisine.     Party of 6 . Food was outstanding…salmon and lamb were amazing. Kids meals were great surprise. Cocktails were delicious and flatbread was its usual amazing… we ordered all their shot glass desserts… once again outstanding!!!! Waitress was over the top attentive!! She did a wonderful job! Tremendous evening

    The food and service were both excellent. We were seated immediately even with the holiday crowd. The octopus potato salad was different and very tasty! Not something you normally see on menus so we had to give it a try. The pasta trio with salad and desert was a great value. The salad was huge and the pasta choices were excellent. My husband had eggplant Parmesan and it was vey good also. Lidia’s does not disappoint and was a perfect choice for a holiday dinner with friends!

    Best meal we’ve had in a long time! Loved everything from the drinks to the bruschetta (incredible!!) to the perfectly cooked filet. Wish we’d left room for dessert. Next time! Such a darling, classy, quaint place. Cannot wait to go back!

    Fabulous experience! Gorgeous this time of year!. Server went out of her way to accommodate. Food was excellent. Valet service was great. Only complaint is that they are limiting their menu on the weekends because it gets so busy when people are in town for the games, so they didn’t have some of my favorites available.
