Best Restaurants for Foodies in Barnsbury

This was the first time visiting Mildred's King's X as I usually dine at Mildred's Covent Garden. Initially, the ambience felt more industrial and less vibrant, however I quickly found that I felt at ease in the restaurant. The ambience was buzzy without being too noisy or energetic, which allowed my friend and I to have a good catch-up. The staff were friendly and relaxed. There was plenty of space for new diners so there was no need to rush us out within our 90 min booking window. The food was a delicious as ever. All in all a happy experience

Another superb supper in the charming and inspired Goldies. Finally got around to trying the Pork - that crispy and crunchy coating was top-notch Japanese level... so beautifully made and utterly unctious. As too were the new Beef Shin coquette - evidence that Will and his Team and forever thinking about their creations and tinkering to upscale their endeavours. It's a all a beautiful fusion between the immense achievements of the food and the sheers unpretentiousness of it all. You can't order badly - it's all unified, coherent and underpinned by philosophy and skill. Brilliant stuff.

A real surprise up in the 10th floor. Perfect place for a dinner for two or a group vibe. Buzzing and lively yet cosy and intimate spaces at the same time. A real find.

This easy to miss place slightly oddly positioned in Chapel Market was excellent. Recommended to me by a local friend, food was very light and seafood super fresh. We had an interesting selection of modern style tapas and a pleasant Bottle of red. Good ambiance/lighting, not too noisy, good low key service. I am pretty fussy re all of the above, I’d definitely recommend this place for dinner and for locals to support this team that is working hard and delivering a good experience.
