They are from Villa Santa Maria, a little town in the heart of Italy (Abruzzo) known as La patria dei cuochi (chefs from this town have been executives at the Vatican, the White House, embassies and top restaurants and cruise lines around the world). Il Violino has been one of the original Lincoln Center Italian restaurants and, in these days, one of the few still in operation. Perfect chicken, delicious sides, drinks were fabulous, and we enjoyed the music on Friday night which set a lively mood but we could still hear each other talk. Our server was so pleasant too. Definitely recommend to anyone, wish we could visit more frequently!

This is a great local Italian restaurant and one of our favorites. The tables are close together and give it an intimate feel but the noise level is loud enough that your conversations are private. The portions are good sized and the food and wine are both reasonably priced. The service is very good and they make you feel special, welcomed and valued.

We always enjoy a meal at Dagon. The food is very good, though a bit pricey. The breads are terrific! We decided to share several starters rather than get an entree - we really like the leek mushroom soup and potato tart specials, as well as the dumplings and the cigar.
