Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events. Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. In 2015, Petit Trois was nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation and in 2019 earned the Bib Gourmand designation upon the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles.     The plants throughout and staffs uniforms give the entire place a warm earthy vibe. We dined for valentines, and each plate was thoughtfully put together. From the amuse to dessert, each plate was perfect in portion and mouthfeel. My favorite was the beet agnolotti, which surprised and delighted me with a dehydrated beet crunch. My partner’s favorite dish was the main course steak, which featured a savory and craveable truffle sauce. Our special mention goes to the beefsteak tomato milk bread. The buttery crunch of the edge pieces left me wanting another to take home. Our server was perfectly attentive and always timely with our drinks. It was a truly wonderful experience and I will be recommending to friends.

    The food is always superb, with delicate flavors. My favorite is the tarragon chicken soup. The service is prompt and the owner Pietro explained in detail the specific qualities of the dishes. A real gem.
