Kachka features an award-winning menu of post-soviet inspired dishes including famous dishes such as the Herring under a fur coat, Rabbit in a clay pot, dumplings and much more. The restaurant is an homage to the dishes our chef/owner grew up eating. Kachka is open for indoor onsite dining. Walk-in lounge and bar seating are also available. Our Lavka grocery is open from 11am-9pm daily with counter service ordering from our Lavka cafe and deli available from 11-3. Seating is first come first serve on our upper patio or indoor lounge tables. We have proudly replaced tipping with a 22% service fee in order to provide a base wage of $25 per hour and free healthcare for all employees.     We attended a wine tasting event for the wines of Georgia (the country in the Caucasus, not the state in the US). We enjoyed sampling the wines which were intriguingly different than our usual California and Oregon vintages. We bought a couple of bottles to take home (plus stocking up on Kachka's delicious pelmeni). The wine importer who was hosting the event was a pleasure to talk to; friendly and knowledgeable. The Kachka staff were, as they always are in my experience, courteous and efficient. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience and a good value as well.
