- GGinaDetroit / Eastern Michigan •4 reviews5.0Dined todayWe had an amazing experience at Hell’s Kitchen D.C. from the incredibly delicious food, exceptional service, and breathtaking views! Our young adult son, a three time brain tumor survivor, is a Gordan Ramsay super fan. After hearing about his story, the HK Team went above and beyond to make his experience incredibly special and memorable. We were so moved by the staff’s efforts and watching our son, who has been through so much, beam with happiness. We would be remiss without a special shout out to Tonya, who engaged our son in friendly conversation and treated him with kindness, dignity, and respect. We can’t thank you all enough - you are next level professionals and amazing human beings!More infoGordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen - Washington DCPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary European• Southwest Waterfront•4.4

And they’re always adding new dishes to the menu. Today I tried 4 selections I’ve never had before and they were all wonderful: tuna tartar with trout roe cone, fish soup, fried eggplant with honey and Andalusian cheesecake. Sooooooo good.More infoJaleo - DCPrice: Expensive• Spanish• Penn Quarter•4.7

First, it’s romantic, with wonderful ambiance, thoughtful preset menu options, and lovely service. Second, of course it’s delicious, but in a ways that’s at once a surprising culinary treat while also leaving you full but somehow healthier than when you arrived. If you don’t question, “how did they do that” about their vegan dishes at least a couple times throughout the meal, you just weren’t eating mindfully. And lastly, it’s a consistent, local staple that we can count on, down to Elizabeth herself facilitating things and stopping by the table in the most humble and thoughtful of ways. This place should have a Michelin Star.More infoElizabeth'sPrice: Very Expensive• Vegan• Downtown•4.9

That said, a couple of things stood out: 🎶 The music choices were… puzzling. Some songs felt completely out of place for such an upscale experience. Not sure what vibe they were aiming for, but it didn’t quite fit the ambiance. 🍽️ The menu size was a struggle. I knew it would be a lot of food, but I was completely full halfway through. I can’t imagine how some guests opt for extra bites—I couldn’t even enjoy dessert properly. A shorter menu option would be a fantastic addition. Honestly, if the menu remains this extensive, I wouldn’t return despite how amazing the food was. It’s just too much, even for a tasting experience. But if you’re ready for an epic culinary journey and can handle the volume, Jônt is truly top-tier. 🥂More infoJôntPrice: Very Expensive• French / Japanese• U Street Corridor•4.9
