- SSteveLondon •9 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoAlways a great carvery at the punchbowl. Been a few times and it's not the cheapest but definitely one of the better ones and always very busy so a good sign. The only criticism if I'm being picky was we thought the larger room we were seated in was a little canteen like. It's a function room for weddings we assumed and doesn't have the charm of the rest of the pub. Can't fault the food and service though.More infoYe Olde Punchbowl Inn Country Inn & GardensPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• Bridgnorth•4.6
- MMayassaLondon •21 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoFrom arriving, it was a fabulous set up, the lounge where we we had cocktails and canapés was lovely, then after half an hour we were taken to the restaurant upstairs. Course after delicious course arrived and were beautifully presented and explained. We thoroughly enjoyed them BUT as soon as we took the last bite and put the cutlery down, the plate was whisked away before we’d even chewed and swallowed. I did comment each time ‘ that’s too quick’ and it meant that we felt we were on a conveyor belt and rushed. We’d driven up from Kent ( booking an hotel for the night) and arrived at the hotel literally 40 minutes before our seating time and so we were wanting to relax but this meant we were rushed. And as soon as we finished our last course with wine still in our glasses, they wanted to move us back to the lounge for coffee and petit fours but I refused saying I wanted to finish my wine. As we commented to each other and compared it it to Aulis/Raby Hunt/ Frog/ L’enclume/ Roux at Landau/ Gavroche/ Fat Duck etc.. we decided this was far far too rushed and at that very moment I got my phone out and booked Aulis for our 5th time. Nice though Opheem was, I think we’ll stick to our Aktar at Home deliveries that we’ve had for the last 4/5 yrs and have them relaxing at home. The staff were excellent but the management have decided to maximise revenue by processing customers through - very sad.More infoOpheemPrice: Very Expensive• Indian• Birmingham•4.9
- GGemmaBirmingham/West Midlands •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoLovely little place, lovely staff and the log fire was burning bright. Decorations looked beautiful. Food was lovely accept the chips were under cooked slightly and I had a hair stuck to my chips but they gave me some fresh ones. Overall lovely experience but they didn’t offer any discount or offer anything apart from fresh chips which I found a little dissatisfying but I’m sure this was a one off things happen.More infoThe Lesters ArmsPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• Brewood•4.6
