The food was delicious, portions were good. Service was excellent. Very memorable experience and a wonderful night.More infoLe CrocodilePrice: Very Expensive• French• Downtown•4.7
- JJessicaVancouver / British Columbia •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoMy friend and I dined in the Winter Wonder Lounge pop-up. It was on the quieter side, which seemed normal for New Year's Day, so I was surprised by how long it took for the food to come out. Despite that, the service and food were both good--at the level expected from any Earls.More infoEarls Kitchen + Bar - Yaletown - VancouverPrice: Expensive• American• Yaletown•4.5
- LLilyVancouver / British Columbia •4 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe chose this restaurant for the Japanese bbq but more importantly, we wanted to see how good they were with accommodating gluten free and food allergies based on other good GF diner reviews. We had a wonderful and safe meal. Our server understood our requirements and was extremely kind, patient and careful with our order. He also double checked with the manager then let us know again which dishes were safe and which ones for the allergy guest to avoid. And when he bought the dishes, he ensured we were aware which ones were ok and which ones to avoid. I am extremely appreciative of this care and awareness. On top of this, the food was delicious, the selection incredible, and the price very reasonable. We will definitely come again and will be happy to recommend this restaurant to our GF friends and friends with food allergies. Thank you for what you do, Gyu-Kaku!More infoGyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ - Vancouver, BC | Nelson Square DowntownPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Downtown•4.5
- BBrianPhiladelphia County •4 reviews5.0Dined on 27 Dec 2024"WOW" What a beautiful experience - inviting and exhilarating, starting with the friendly greeting, and ending with a friendly farewell, this restaurant does not disappoint. Having never experienced this style of Japanese cuisine, in my own words it's like "Japanese Soul Food". The bistro style atmosphere elevates the experience of the incredibly delicious and perfectly executed cuisine. This is by no means anything but amazing food. You just have to dive in and try things. Not one single plate disappointed and the delicious cocktails were a bonus. One time in particular, the Curry Poutine stood out because it is a beautiful example of natural fusion of Japanese and Canadian cuisine. I hesitate to use the word "fusion" but i'm not sure what else I'd call it other than a natural outcome of talented people making wonderful food representative of their own culture perfectly integrated with another one. Service was on point, every single member buzzing about like a colony of bees - you can kindly ask any one of them for anything! It's like walking into a family gathering. Bravo Guu Toramasa!
