Founded in 1996 the ideas for the Marblehead Chowder House were actually hatched a few years before. Sitting at "The Barnacle," overlooking Marblehead Harbor one raw winter day, while the spume from the rough saltwater painted the windows and the Sam Adams Lager flowed freely, a concept was born. Boyfriend and I got the lamb brisket as a starter, and then the salmon for main course and Thai cucumber salad as a side. We split them all. I would probably not order the lamb again, but everything else was fantastic. Our server Francis was super kind. Great dinner and highly recommend!

One of my favorite center city cafes. Great food, drinks and it's beautiful. We had fried shrimp, Brussel sprouts, french onion soup, chicken ceasar salad. We also had a couple christmassy drinks. Everything fun and fabulous I go at least 4 times a year. I always bring someone because it's great

The food was absolutely wonderful, and you truly get what you pay for in terms of quality and presentation. I highly recommend dining here for a special occasion or a treat-yourself moment. Using OpenTable to make our reservations added convenience and ensured everything went smoothly. Barclay Prime definitely made the night memorable for us, and we can’t wait to visit again!
