Best Restaurants for Groups in Sussex

To be honest, I was unsure what to expect. Several (about 5) years ago the experience had not been pleasant. So decided to try again; I’m very glad I did - it was an awesome experience. The drinks, their specials, were superb. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu, great recommendations. The meal came quickly, everything that should have been hot was, I had a beet salad with feta cheese that was to die for. We splurged on a very nice bottle of wine, my wife’s roasted chicken she said was delicious and while there were two lobster selections, the waitress helped me make a good decision - the result was fantastic, both in size, appearance & taste. Admittedly we spent more than I intended, however it was worth every dollar! Oh I should mention the small but nice raw bar; I have some familiarity with oysters and the NB selection was excellent. I rarely leave this long or detailed review, however, we will definitely return to the Milwaukee Harbor House and strongly recommend it to anyone who wants a great restaurant experience!!

Servers were great! Explained specials. But I have to say I was just not that impressed with the NY steak I ordered. The steak was cooked properly at medium but had a dryness to it & actually not that much flavor without the Bearnaise sauce. I guess I am just spoiled because we use to go to the former Jackson Grill where the steaks were outstanding. Not sure what they did to their steaks but we have never found one as tasty. My husband had the crab cake & fillet and the crab cake was delish but he also found his fillet cooked properly but with not much flavor without the sauce.

Oh my gosh.. it was the best Xmas eve dinner ever! Our waitress Lizzy was the best. When we were deciding on what to order she convinced us of the family dinner for 6 and it was the best! She helped choose drinks we also loved.. she was fantastic! And dinner was unbelievable! We would do this again. Thank you and Liz ( I hope that was her name) for the wonderful dining experience!

The setting was casual and elegant simultaneously - laid back white table cloth. Our server was knowledgeable and observant without hovering - well done. Our cocktails were delicious, well made. Side spinach and feta salads were of an appropriate size and made from fresh ingredients. Our entrees - scallops over risotto and pan fried whitefish - were fantastic. Well done - thumbs up!

While not vegetarians, we always enjoy great tasting food and delightful service. A true gem!
