Best Restaurants for People Watching in Georgetown

Excellent restaurant. We had a party of 5 and everyone enjoyed their meals. Prompt service with an attention to detail. We will look forward to dining at Peacock Cafe on our next visit to DC.

The beignets are AMAZING!! Table on the mezzanine level overlooking the main dining room felt like the best seat in the house.

Food was good but portion of garlic bread and bolognese were bit small.

Beginning with a drink at the bar, prompt seating at our table and friendly welcome, it was a wonderful night. We started with the oysters and shrimp cocktail. Both were large and fresh. The salmon and crab cakes were served properly cooked at the appropriate temperature. To finish dinner we found room to share the Brownie Sundae. Oh my!! It was amazing. We’ll definitely be back.

This was our 2nd visit. We are there 11 years ago on our honeymoon when visiting DC so we were really happy the quality, experience was just as great as we remembered it. The dining room is nice not too big, but lively. The staff are excellent, so friendly and happy to explain the menu. The food is great, full of flavor. We had the Sambosa appetizer which was perfect for sharing. I had the Lamb Tibs and my husband had the combo of chicken and beef. The staff are gracious to check your wishes and confirm you’re happy to have them plated together. It was a great experience overall.
