Best Restaurants for Quiet Conversation in Tysons Corner / McLean

Our server was impeccable. very knowledgeable. There was a family next to us but one person in the party was extremely loud and disruptive. Tainted a very quaint evening for me and my wife. I did not wanted to ruin the moment, but wished someone would have said something to assist him with toning it down. I highly recommend the Bronzino. We also ordered the pre fixe. Great price for the food, service, and ambiance.

Absolutely wonderful! Five stars across the board. The chef/owner came out to talk to us and recommended his specialty, salmon with crab stuffing. The flavors were amazing - subtle, unique, and delicious. On a cold rainy day the atmosphere and warmth of the restaurant created a marvelous dining experience. We have dined here several times and are always amazed how ordinary ingredients can be turned into something so special.

Our food was delicious, fresh, generous portions. We had roasted half chicken and avocado toast. We both asked for substitutions/add-ons which were accommodated. I was offered an alternative add-on because the one I initially requested was seasonal. Drinks and desserts were also good regarding taste and serving size. Our waiter was very pleasant and regularly checked on us without being intrusive. The manager also stopped by our table and other customers to check that everything was ok. It’s a diner, so noise levels are what one might expect, but we could easily converse without raising our voices. It has a retro diner vibe with posters/photos/vinyl of iconic performers at Carnegie Hall (original diner in New York is near the concert hall). It’s becoming a favorite neighborhood spot so it’s always busy and the one negative is that parking in this popular local shopping center is relatively limited so it can be hard to find a space during peak hours.

We loved the cozy atmosphere, especially on a wet winter day. Our servers were polite (there were several) and the food was delicious! We would definitely return and recommend.

Nostos is already very popular, it is the best restaurant in Northern Virginia. You need to make a reservation to get a table. It is a quality restaurant. The food is excellent, everything fresh and perfectly prepared. It is a pleasure to just enjoy great food. Add to that the perfect service; and the family who owns the restaurant, is always on site managing all the details and greeting guests. It is a taste treat of the first order. You will love it.
