Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Ashbury

As always our favourite place for an Indian. Having just come back from Rajasthan it was certainly authentic, however unfortunately UK prices are somewhat higher than in New Delhi!

Food was superb. Nice sized portions and really reasonable. Really nice atmosphere as well, definitely coming back.

What a gorgeous place, as soon as we walked in the staff were attentive and welcoming. We were seated and asked for an extra table setting as we had a late joiner, without hesitation they set an extra place. Drinks order was taken swiftly and drinks came in very good time, the atmosphere was very calm with moderate chatter in the background. We all ordered a Sunday roast and it is quite possibly the best roast dinner I have ever had in Oxfordshire, absolutely delicious! It was rather pricey but worth every penny. We will most definitely be back. Outstanding!

The food was amazing; we all had different dishes (mains and desserts) and were very impressed with the taste, quality of ingredients and the presentation. We got complimentary bread and butter at the start, which was a nice touch. The venue has character and is a charming old building. Our server was brilliant, especially considering her very young age - she was friendly, polite and knowledgeable about the menu. The village of Buckland is beautiful - we went for a walk after lunch. I would highly recommend making a visit here.
