- DDarrenLondon •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoOur second visit to Fork didn’t disappoint! A real gem of a restaurant with excellent food, attentive and friendly service coupled with good value! The fixed menu @ £39.50 provided a diverse set of choices to suit all palates cooked in an open-plan kitchen on full display to the diners. As a wine nerd it was also fantastic to take advantage of a £15 corkage fee which is extremely reasonable. I had scallops in a celeriac purée to start, pork tenderloin with pancetta and then an apple pie to finish. All superbly cooked and presented. We will most definitely be back!More infoFork LewesPrice: Very Expensive• British• Lewes•4.6
- JJulietLondon •3 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoWe were served by a lovely lady at the bar who was taking all the orders on her own, who I think was quite new to the job or to recent changes to the menu maybe. I felt for her having no support. She was very apologetic for any delay in taking orders and I could see it upset her that she couldn’t do her job to her full potential. But she certainly gave it her all. One guy seemed to bring the food to the tables and I didn’t see any other waiting staff. They were both really lovely friendly people. And it didn’t affect our visit. But I did feel they could have done with another pair of hands to support them. The food was lovely. The kids burgers were a good size and a nice quality meat. The pub itself is cosy and friendly. We will return. Thanks.More infoThe Roebuck InnPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• Lewes•4
- MMadeleineBrighton •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe went to Kindling restaurant to celebrate our son’s 26th birthday. The staff were all friendly and courteous, service was good and the food was exceptional, possibly the best steak we have had. It’s not cheap but then again a good cut of steak isn’t cheap and although you have to pay extra for any side dishes, they were pretty good portion sizes. We will definitely return sometime in the future.More infoKindling RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Brighton•4.6
- HHeidiBrighton •7 reviews5.0Dined on 15 Dec 2024We had to wait to be seated as we were told that our table was ready but then advised it was given to someone else and it would be a couple of minutes. That was not true and we had to enquire if the table was then ready, to which we were seated immediately. Although we were having the set Christmas menu we were also not offered a drinks menu, we had to pull this up via our phones. The server we finally had was nice, but we had to ask to do the Cluedo activity but he was attentive when serving the food. Normally it’s been really great here but the seating and no drinks menu was not the best experience.More infoBill's Restaurant & Bar - BrightonPrice: Moderate• British• Brighton•4.5
