The Punchbowl is a 17th century gastro pub, located in the heart of rural Essex and the Crouch Valley and the South Essex Salt marshes. We offer nose-to-tail style menu, with unpretentious dishes that focus on flavour. Everything is made in house - from bread to mayonnaise, and we use local, seasonal and organic ingredients. Our menu changes daily, as the season's best comes in, and always features day boat fish, meat, offal, rare breed steaks and excellent vegetarian cookery.Our beautiful garden bar has a lawn and york-stone patio looking out across the farmland of Paglesham and the River Crouch. Throughout the summer we offer BBQ dining from our hand-cranked Asado and Rotisserie Grills.

Increasing the restaurant size and menu changes to a full A la Carte menu including a traditional Sunday Roast, as well as lunchtime time snacks and meals.Harrys Bar is open 7 days a week from 12pm and offers live entertainment on a Saturday evening and a resident DJ on Fridays.The Restaurant serves a range of dished to suite everyones taste.     A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The staff were so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. My friend is vegan and they adapted a meal for them as well as going through the vegan options on the wine menu. Delicious food all round and a lovely atmosphere.

    Second time we’ve been to Harry’s Bar recently and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They have a good wine collection with prices to suit all budgets, the food is tasty and come in decent portions and the service is great. Will definitely be booking again soon

    Had a lovely meal . Staff were very attentive . Food was lovely looked as good as it tasted all my guest were impressed . Defiantly go back for more . Didn’t know they were so close a hide. Gem

    It is a nice restaurant with a view of Southend airport which currently is very quite (the airport) The staff were very helpful and friendly which was great, the food was good and even with the starter of my partner being slightly over cooked, they removed it from the bill and thanked us for our genuine feedback. Overall i would return to the restaurant and could recommend it.
