Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Forest Hill

I recently dined solo at Blacklock Canary Wharf, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. I started with a delicious mocktail ,followed by a perfectly cooked fillet, tender and juicy at medium doneness. The sweet potatoes and beets with goats cured were absolutely outstanding. To finish, the bread and butter pudding with custard was the perfect indulgence. An all-around amazing meal with exceptional service.

what an incredible dining experience… my boyfriend and I are visiting from NY and genuinely did not expect such high quality steak + absolutely delicious sides. the restaurant is simple: a comforting sexy ambience and high quality straightforward foods. I can’t wait to return. woke up thinking about it.

The porterhouse was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The side dishes complemented the steak beautifully, each one thoughtfully prepared with attention to detail. The desserts were a highlight as well, particularly the indulgent chocolate plate that arrived with a candle, a lovely touch to make the evening even more memorable. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to make the celebration feel truly special, showing genuine care and attention to every detail. Simply the one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Service top class with nothing too much trouble, food exceptional, view over the Thames and Tower Bridge adds to the experience . Not cheap but good value because you get what you pay for. Been there numerous times and not once have I had any reason to complain. Well sourced fish in particular and an extensive choice on the menu. Highly recommended.

Excellent food, excellent staff, great ambiance. First time here and surly won’t be my last. I had the dragon mango cocktail 10/10 really enjoyed my night with my best mate. Thank you
