- EEugeneCambridge/Cambridgeshire •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoI really cannot fault The George in any way. The staff were brilliant polite and attentive at the right times. The atmosphere and ambience in the restaurant was perfect for a chatty meal with friends. Super food and lovely cocktails and wine. Highly recommend!More infoThe George HotelPrice: Expensive• British• Huntingdon•4.5
- EEmmaEssex •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoFantastic service and much improved room ambiance with the addition of a stunning Christmas tree in the centre of the room and tablecloths on all the tables this year Excellent service and food , only very slight niggle was the trestle style circular new tables are awkward for 2 of the 4 people sitting at them as the support legs are in the way so you have to sit either wonky or straddling the supports. Great treat as alwaysMore infoDoddington Tea RoomPrice: Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Lincoln•4.5

The staff were very helpful and reassuring about my allergy and where double checking everything.More infoAfternoon Tea at Hilton Cambridge - Lounge BarPrice: Expensive• British• Cambridge•3.9
- VVickiLondon •1 review4.0Dined 6 days agoWe booked the Festive afternoon tea, paying extra for prosecco and mulled wine, a couple of months in advance for a birthday treat whilst in Cambridge. Unfortunately, the mulled wine was still 'cooking' ? at the time of our sitting (It's not as if it was a last-minute booking) We were upgraded to champagne, which was very nice for myself, as I enjoyed both glasses as my husband isn't a lover of champagne. It was very disappointing that the mulled wine was not available, especially as it was a festive afternoon tea. The rest of the hotel was beautiful decorated for Christmas, but there were no Christmas decorations in the area where we were seated, so didn't feel very festive. On a positive note, the sandwiches were lovely and fresh, and they did swap one of the fillings for us. There was a very good selection of teas and a good variety of scones and cakes.More infoGonville KitchenPrice: Expensive• Tapas / Small Plates• Cambridge•4.3
- KKatyLondon •1 review4.0Dined on 8 Nov 2024Lovely setting, beautiful savouries and scones. For the price there were far too many sweet treats- these were lovely but became simply inedible due to the sheer size and amount. The amount of pistachio crème on the mince pie was somewhat sickly and I think substance over style would be more appreciated. Our waiters were lovely though, and nothing was too much. Also- it would be nice to have proper boxes to take sweet treats home in as again, it was simply impossible to eat that much sugar in one sitting.More infoAfternoon Tea at Parker's TavernPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Cambridge•3.9
