Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Saint Margaret’s at Cliffe

Great experience! The afternoon tea was amazing, and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend it!

The theme was The Nutcracker. The decor was magical and the afternoon tea was delicious. The staff are exceptional. A wonderful experience.

We had an afternoon tea. The food was exceptionally fresh and tasty. The scones were warm and the tea was high quality. The service was lovely; the waiting staff particularly helpful and attentive. What we loved was it was a relaxing atmosphere and we didn’t feel rushed.

4 of us dined on Saturday. We had amazing starters of oysters and soup. We followed this with delicious main courses. The service was excellent, ambience great. All in all a fabulous evening and without doubt will be back.

The quality of the food was excellent. A good selection of sandwiches and cakes. Excellent scones. Quantity of jam and cream was not enough for 4 scones. We were not advised about the different teas available, despite the menu stating that there was a selection. My husband asked for decaf coffee but thinks he was served regular as he experienced increased pulse rate. The ambience of the tea room was lacking as it was very quiet. Very different experience to a London hotel but the price was very good.
