Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Ditmars Steinway

Fantastic, delicious meal. Truly great service. Excellent bar / bartender.

Excellent food well prepared and attentive service in this small enclave makes this a go-to spot. A bit out of the way but that makes it more enjoyable since the crowds on Madison or Fifth avenues are not a problem. Stone crab claws were large and well prepared. The menu says 2lb Lobster stuffed with crabmeat and the dish is actually a good size lobster simply layered with huge chunks of crab-no breading. They offer to shell it for you as well. The wine list is extensive although I couldn't find many familiar names. Amazing place but be warned you'll need to have a fireproof credit card if you want the best of this fare..

We pause for the experience and that in and of itself was lovely. We purchased a cheese tray that could have been displayed a little better; maybe a smaller tray would have made presentation a little better. But for sure the 5 crackers that came with our cheese and grapes were not enough.

There are very few places in NYC that are still elegant and yet exciting to go to. The food was delicious and healthy, and the service was excellent. My martini was one of the best ever. The room was magnificent filled with stunning flowers. You just do not see many restaurants that are willing to invest in creating such a beautiful atmosphere. I loved it!

Loved the moody vibe - its esthetic is giving Frank Sinatra. Loved the Smokey and masculine energy from the room. Definitely looks like a place for a BNO, business meetings, or just to grab some drinks (like the husband and I did) We loved it A+
