Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Turtle Creek / Oak Lawn

Fantastic experience overall. Food was exquisite, thoughtful and well composed. Truly couldn’t have asked for a better meal. Drink selection didn’t feel as up to par as the food menu. Basic options. Bathroom is up an entire flight of winding stairs which is fine, but be cautious in heels. They were out of toilet paper, so that felt overlooked. Bar with live music ramped up toward the end of our dinner but wasn’t overly loud and soundly lively as we were exiting.

Honestly, we had Valentine’s Day reservations months in advance at a steakhouse, but to our surprise upon arriving we were informed they had to shut down due to construction workers hitting a gas line. Highly disappointed, thinking we would not find a last minute reservation anywhere on Valentines night, Haywire had a few available slots on open table and it was right around the corner. We reserved for 2 not knowing what to expect, but I am SO GLAD WE DID! The elk tacos appetizers were delicious! The redfish w/crab and shrimp was amazing! I was also celebrating my birthday and the warm pecan pie w/ice cream was definitely the cherry on top! Our server was so attentive and took great care of us! We had reservations at 10pm and were done eating dinner at 10:40pm. 🥰 THANKS HAYWIRE.

Katie, our server was fantastic! It was so personable and gave great recommendations. We got the Rockefeller oysters, trout dip, parmesan crusted fish, and USDA prime rib. 10/10

Excellent service, great atmosphere. My wife and I went for the first time. Managers came to check on us and it was delightful as they genuinely wanted to make our experience better and not bother us. Food was amazing, could not have been better. We will be coming back very soon.

A truly unique, up scale experience with Mexican fare and delicious drinks. The tequila and mezcal list was extensive, and the dining was one of a kind. The menu is not long, but what they serve is done so well. A little pricey for the portion size. Highly recommend for a unique and upscale dining experience. I will be back next time I’m in the Dallas Design District.
