- LLindaNew York City •41 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoFound my new favorite place tonight!! From the moment I walked in I knew I would love dinner tonight. The vibe is so cozy with warm wood tones and subtle lighting making you feel like you are dining at a dear friend’s place in New England. Kathy, our superb waitress was great in describing the dishes and helping us choose. We dived into the wine flight which helped create our own pairing menu. Started with Caesar salad and then slow roasted carrots on top of ricotta - truly an outstanding dish. The squid ink pasta was delicious and the scallop special melted in my mouth. We didn’t have room for dessert and will definitely be back soon for another meal which will include dessert. Excited to have such an excellent offering close to home.More infoOtherside Wine BarPrice: Moderate• Wine Bar• Glen Cove•4.7

- MMICHAELVIPNew York City •170 reviews4.0Dined on 4 Mar 2025DeMeo's is a cut above the typical neighborhood Long Island Italian restaurant. It has a broad menu of the traditional Italian dishes but always has several specials that go outside the bounds of pure Italian. Listen carefully to the night's choices. Bread and focaccia are brought quickly and the olive oil on the table is not peppery but relatively mild. A few olives and pieces of cheese are also complimentary. I often have fried zucchini at other Italian restaurants (or even Bryant and Cooper) but not here; way too thin to even identify as zucchini. Main courses are large and I always seem to have a second dinner of leftovers. Servers are very careful with packing to avoid leaks (something not all restaurants care about. I haven't been here on a weekend or holiday but I can imagine if full the tables are a bit too close. Getting to lavatories requires a steep climb to second floor and steps are narrow. WATCH IT. For mer, not a go to for special occasions but good food and plenty of options on a weekday night.More infoTrattoria DiMeoPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Roslyn•4.8
