Best Live Music Restaurants in Skelmersdale

This was the first time but definitely not the last time I will be going to the Puffin Rooms in Liverpool. I booked this for a friends 50th as I know he loves whiskey with the tag line that we would both try some different whiskeys we had not tried before (which for me is most of them) and the Puffin Rooms absolutely did not disappoint. I arrive first to a warm and friendly greeting , a cold beer and a lovely chat with the chap behind the bar. When my friend arrived we were shown to some very nice comfy seats for our evening. Food and drink menus were summarily provided and after a couple of mins we were greeted by our whiskey sommelier ( whiskey smith ) . . an incredibly knowledgeable young chap half our age who knows more about whiskey than I could hope to know ( I think his name was Sonny , I apologise if I have goth this wrong ) My full respect and admiration to this young chap, as this was our first time at the Puffin Rooms we put ourselves in his hands and with minimal guidance he picked out one after another after another amazing whiskeys that we have never even heard of each outstanding in its own way. We started light and worked our way up as very respectable ladder of superb whiskeys after the first 3 we ordered a little bit of food from the menu which was provided promptly. Hereafter our tastes diverged and our whiskey smith kept track and continued to provide excellent advice and commentary on separate (very different) whiskeys for us both. We were offered a cigar to go with our drinks at that time and accepted each of us being offered a different type of cigar paired with our chosen whiskey taste path. After a couple more fantastic whiskeys it was time to head home I settles a very acceptable tab, handed our whiskey smith a well deserved tip and bid him a good evening, vowing to return for another such evening in the coming months. We had an excellent lunch today. My only criticism is the staff at times were too attentive clearing glasses and cups from individuals - it was an obvious selling technique which became annoying as it occurred several times by various staff. Most people can request additional drinks if needed. Based upon your tipping criteria this means higher bills and therefore higher tips if more drinks are purchased.

I booked a table here for me and my Son (15yrs) as we were watching a week night show at the Opera house and it was just across the road. I booked online and requested a quiet area due to my child’s needs. Booking was easy and I also received a courtesy call on the day with a description of our seating area and to confirm that would suit our needs. All staff were, seen, kind and friendly. Food and drinks were served quickly. We ordered burgers, they did taste good and were reasonably priced. Nice relaxed atmosphere and we would go again.

Amazing experience at Kitten! Staff were lovely and the food was exceptional. Only thing I’d say is the food came out very fast. We ordered 6 items and they all came out within 15 mins of ordering. Drinks came after the food so would prefer for it to have been slowed down a bit and it to come out in stages but other than that it was fabulous and would come again. Thank you so much

Went for a Sunday roast to celebrate my boyfriends birthday Food was amazing, restaurant was so light and airy and beautiful and we had a brilliant server khris who was brilliant Will be back soon!
