- DDavidVIPSan Diego •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoCallie is one of, if not the, best restaurants in San Diego. Fine dining has shifted post-COVID but Callie does everything at a consistently high level. The food is interesting, layered, often surprising, and delicious. Wine and cocktails are similarly high quality and creative. Service is outstanding. Now this is what you would expect for a restaurant probably averaging $150 per person but, if you love restaurants, you know you can pay that price in San Diego and not have a satisfying experience. My wife and I ate at Callie recently for our anniversary. Staff had a handwritten card for us thanking us for celebrating at their restaurant. It's the extra, above-and-beyond that makes Callie great.More infoCallie RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• Downtown / Gaslamp•4.8
- KKVIPLos Angeles •37 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoIt was our first time visiting Coronado Island & Little Frenchie Bistro. It was very convenient to make reservations (on Opentable). This is a small & cozy restaurant with not many indoor tables (some outdoor tables also available) so reservations are highly recommended. We sat at a cozy booth, where we were provided with complimentary delectable pastries made in-house. French onion soup was perfectly prepared, not salty like at some restaurants, absolutely loved it! Nicoise salad had poached albacore (vs. canned tuna) so it was not your ordinary salad. Steak & frites (kids portion) was very good size & cooked to order. We reminisced having steak & frites in Paris but the style was a bit different, not served cut-up with green butter sauce. Service was excellent and we had ample time to savor french onion soup before our entrees came out. It was an expensive brunch but we’re so glad we were able to dine here during our first visit to Coronado island.More infoLittle FrenchiePrice: Moderate• French• Coronado•4.7

A great wine list and slowly evolving menu with amazing specials (wild rabbit ragu!!) keeps us coming back.More infoCellar HandPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Hillcrest•4.6
