Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Old Town Alexandria

This was our second visit to The Dabney and it was just as good as the first time. The food is amazing, beautiful and delicious beyond belief. The staff is so attentive in a good way and explains each course (we did the tasting menu). We sat by the kitchen and it was great to watch the fire, the cooking, the careful prep of each plate and the camaraderie between kitchen and serving staff. It’s expensive and we can’t do this often, but it was worth the splurge.

Wonderful place, the food was amazing! We got the short ribs and grilled shrimp and both were really good. I did think the short ribs weren’t very filling compared to the shrimp though. The presentation was really good and the atmosphere was wonderful. I also really enjoyed the drinks. I would totally go again, just would probably eat at the speakeasy below for the quieter more intimate vibes.

Vermilion was a great farm to table experience! Quiet, great food and excellent service!

My dinner was very good! I had a cider pork chop with carrots and a potato gratin cake. For dessert, I had cheesecake. It was delicious!

Great menu. Wide selection of options. Service was prompt. Food delivered quickly and was fresh and delicious.
