The Local Cafe and Restaurant was created to offer experiential learning opportunities for our students. The Local is located on Centennial College, Progress Campus. At The Local, the hospitality, culinary and baking students learn in the restaurant as part of their embedded courses as well as their field placement's under the direction of our Faculty, Chef and Restaurant Technicians. Our menus are inspired by the flavour profiles that represent the incredibly rich diversity of those who call Scarborough home. First time Italian cuisine. Wine tasting is a bonus. I learned a lot tonight. First tasting menu I tried ever with different groups of wine pairing on each dish by a certified wine specialist explaining how the pairing works and how they interwined. Thank you.

It’s always a fabulous experience. We started out at the Bar having a cocktail - Arie is a doll. He really gets to know you. Dinner was outstanding. Mohammed was more than professional and accommodating. We don’t dine there often enough. Highly recommend.
